You will need

  • Large eye needle for sewing in your ends
  • Scissors

The Pattern

Work in continuous rounds, no need to slip stitch at the end of each round. Use your stitch marker to mark the start of each round or alternatively you can just count your stitches (as it isn’t a very big project).

Magic circle (or if you prefer, chain 4 and join to make a circle and work into the centre)

R1- DC 6 into the ring

R2 – DCinc into each stitch (12)

R3 – *DC, DCinc* repeat around (18)

Weave in the end now as you won’t be able to do it at the end.

R4 – DC in each stich around (18)

R5 – *DC, DC, DCinc* repeat around (24)

R6-R8 – DC into each stitch (24)

R9 – *DC, DC, DC2tog* repeat around (18)

R10 – *DC, DC2tog * repeat around (12)

R11 – * DC2tog * repeat around (6)

R12 – *DC inc* repeat around (12)

R13 – *DC inc* repeat around (24)

R14 – SS around to finish, 24 slip stitches, then tie off and weave in your end.

Optional – use black yarn to make an eye by sewing round a couple of the stitches. Then it looks like a fish 😊
And you’re all done, so get your bucket of water ready and start your target practice! Once you’ve done playing just chuck them in the washing machine to wash with your next load.
